The TSI 9.5” Billet 245MM Torque Converter is the perfect converter for the street car or racer with 300-1400HP. This converter is known in the industry as many names such as 9”, 9.5” 245MM and 10”. Don’t get confused, they are all the same, just different ways of advertising the same product. Only the highest quality billet front covers, furnace brazed pumps and turbines are used in our converters. Our stator designs are revolutionary and will give you lightning-fast launches while still coupling hard on the top end. Most users typically run 2800-3600 stall for street applications. The higher the stall, the more slippage on the bottom end. This will result in additional throttle for light to mid throttle acceleration and increased heat. Due to this, we recommend no more than a 4000 stall for street applications.

A few notes about the torque converter clutch options you can choose from. Any builds over 700HP OR those that want to lockup their converter under wide open throttle need to select multi clutch (triple disc) option. Locking up a single clutch converter under wide open throttle will quickly destroy it. The single disc converters are only to be locked up under cruising conditions and never under heavy throttle. The triple disc converters will engage lockup a bit firmer than the single discs. Due to this, we highly recommend a billet input shaft to be installed in your transmission when using a triple disc torque converter.

After making your selections and putting the item in your cart. You will be prompted to fill out our converter build sheet before submitting your order. Using the selections, you selected and your build sheet, the engineers at TSI will hand craft a custom converter for your specific application. We do not sell “off the shelf” converters.
